Your Guide to Self-Care and Wellness in Nature

Feeling a bit overwhelmed or stressed recently? If you’re like many of us these days, that answer is a definite yes. And that’s not okay! Stress is major factor when it comes to our health and can lead to serious diseases and even death if not dealt with. So if you’ve answered yes to feeling stressed out today, let’s practice some simple self-care practices right now to unwind and release all those negative vibes.

With your favorite cup of tea or coffee, go ahead and find a comfortable seat on the floor, outside in the grass or dirt, or wherever is pleasant for you and listen to your surroundings. Maybe light some sage, palo santo or your favorite candle and let the noise from your day release as you focus on the present moment. Breathe in. Breathe out. And repeat…

How did that feel? Were you able to quiet your mind and listen to your breath? If so, that’s wonderful. If you had a little more difficulty trying to get comfortable that’s okay too. It takes some time to reset and to get that ‘monkey mind’ of ours to stop dancing around with so much information. But with consistency in your practice and in the environment that connects with you, mindfulness or meditation will come naturally.
