A New Mini Gadget for the Kitchen

Let’s talk about food on the road for a minute. You know that feeling, when you’ve been driving for hours and all those snacks you packed have been eaten and relished but now it’s time for a real meal before someone gets hangry. And we all know there aren’t many options out there other than the fast-food drive-thru’s to choose from. Ugh… maybe every once in a while but not so much a go-to meal for me. That’s why cooking and or prepping your food is so key! It’s really saved us from settling on food choices that otherwise would make our bellies upset with that decision and no one likes a grumpy yucky belly, especially when traveling.

In our tiny home kitchen, for cooking, we have some basic kitchen utensils a couple cast iron skillets, and one pot. All stuff that we used in our sticks and bricks. For a stove, we use a Coleman two-burner propane stovetop. But what I’ve been missing is an oven and baking. Jason is a much better cook than me so he’s usually making us something delicious. But I miss baking up donuts, cookie bars, cookies, and brownies!! It all just simply tastes so much better and that sweet aroma filling the air makes for some serious homie feels.

Well, to my surprise one afternoon, J came home with some goodies, one being the newest kitchen gadget… a cute My Mini waffle maker in my favorite color teal! This lil guy is pretty cool and versatile. It can bake up biscuits, quesadillas, brownies, pizza… whaaat. We’ve seen a few other nomads on social use the same gadget and make some very tasty-looking treats so I was quickly envious. Two batches of waffles have already been whipped up; blueberry & cinnamon. Both turned out pretty good after adjusting the cooking time. It’s going to be fun to try out new recipes with this mini-maker.

The My Mini is electric, running 120V, 550W which isn’t a problem for us using the BLUETTI lithium battery. It’s a super easy clean up too and of course, the compact size is perfect for a tiny home. I highly recommend buying if you’re a nomad, living minimally, or just wanting a cute little waffle maker. It’s a great minimal gadget for some simple tasty treats!
